Whether you need straight-forward nutrition advice for managing a new diagnosis or in-depth support to overhaul your health and nutrition habits, nutrition counseling can take you from confused and overwhelmed to healthy and confident.

In our world of information overload, it's difficult to know what or whom to believe. Working with a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will help you find clarity among the noise. Using evidence-based strategies, personalized to your exact circumstances, you will systematically transform your health and have peace of mind knowing that the recommendations you implement will be effective and long-lasting.

Every client's circumstances are unique, likewise, every nutrition counseling program is unique. You may need just one or two appointments to learn the nutrition therapy for your condition. On the other hand, you may benefit from multiple sessions spread over several months, which is often the case if you're looking to dramatically improve your health and lifestyle.

Nevertheless, every program begins with a Nutrition Assessment, where I complete a thorough review of your current health and medical history to ensure excellent, individualized care. From there, I will design your unique plan, including recommendations, long-term goals, and simple next steps.

Nutrition Assessment

During this 90-minute beginning session, we'll discuss your medical history, current complaint(s), biochemical and laboratory values, and medication and supplement use to uncover potential food-drug interactions. Plus, we'll complete a thorough food and nutrition intake and history and review your eating and exercise habits. From there, we'll hit the ground running with whatever your next steps may be—goal setting, diet education, or other recommendations.

Follow-up sessions

Making real and sustainable change to your diet and lifestyle habits takes time. If you’ve struggled with health concerns for some time, it can take multiple sessions to work through barriers and ease into a new way of living. Follow-up sessions are about 45 minutes. We’ll discuss recent goals, celebrate successes, and troubleshoot any challenges. We'll set new action steps to move you closer to your long-term goals, and between sessions, you’ll have unlimited email support.
